Tango/Greenphire Office Hours

The OVCR will host office hours each Wednesday in August to answer questions about the Tango and Greenphire participant payment systems. Graduate Student Fee Updates

The Graduate Student Fee Table has been updated for the 2025-2026 school year.
 

New NIH Notices Released

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has released three notices stating new requirements concerning the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and calendar year limits on applications, Other Support training, and an update on foreign subawards.


International Shipping/Hand-Carry of UNC-Owned Items

The Export Compliance Office (ECO) and Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) would like to remind all personnel involved in sponsored programs that the international transfer of any physical item may require a license or prior authorization from one or more U.S. Government agencies.


Information Security Requirements for Proposals

OSP and the School of Medicine’s Sponsored Programs Office developed new guidance on proposal submissions and information security requirements. 
 

Research Science & Security Training Requirement

Effective July 15, 2025, Phase 2 of the Research Security Training Program began.

Updates to Small Purchase and Bidding Thresholds

Effective August 1, University purchase parameters for requisitions have been updated. View the updated policy for specific details.
 

Bulk Alcohol Purchases

The purchase of alcohol at grocery and liquor stores for business and entertainment expenses is not permitted on T&E Cards. Read procedure guidelines for acceptable purchase methods.
 

Redesigned UNC Research Website

The Office of Research Communications has launched a redesigned UNC Research website, offering a more contemporary design and simpler navigation. 
 

Carolina Club Supplier Update

The Carolina Club is under new management through Oakview Group LLC and is now classified as an Independent Contractor.
