Guidance on New Federal Executive Actions

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) and Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) have released guidance on recent Federal Executive Actions impacting sponsored programs.

Key Reminder

Project specific agency correspondence on stop-work or pause notices must be sent to SponsoredPrograms@unc.edu. Any general inquiries pertaining to the federal updates may be directed to VCR@unc.edu.

Updated Guidance on Postdoctoral Salary

In response to recent announcements from the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) about minimum salary amounts for postdoctoral fellows (postdoc), OSP offered clarifying guidance for proposal budgeting.

Greenphire Coming Soon

Greenphire provides an automated platform designed to simplify payment processes for clinical trial participants and lessen the workload for study coordinators. With Greenphire, study coordinators can utilize ClinCards to automate and monitor payments to participants. The funds can be transferred through reloadable debit cards or direct deposit, ensuring a smooth payment experience.

The guidance and webpage for Greenphire will be released soon. In the meantime, begin your training! Completing the Greenphire ClinCard User Training is mandatory for users to gain access to the portal. Registration is required to attend the training sessions, which are held twice a month.
