Important Update - Salary Increase Paused

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs just announced an update to the postdoctoral minimum salary increase. Due to pending litigation in federal courts, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) required increase is being paused and will not go into effect in January 2025. RAM Reports Update: KK Dates 

Commitment Control (KK) dates serve as a budget control tool in ConnectCarolina, ensuring that expenses are posted to projects within the allocated budget limits. KK dates enforce budget controls on journals, vouchers, requisitions, and purchase orders. The KK dates for a project can now be found in the Project Summary screen on RAM Reports.

A: The University will be closed for the Winter Holiday Break from December 25, 2024 through January 1, 2025. To ensure our offices can meet all deadlines and tasks before the closures, we have established the following early submission deadlines. For proposal and/or award actions not specifically listed below, please submit requests before the University closure for OSP and/or SOMSPO to review and process.

Agreements to be Fully Executed in 2024

Monday, December 9 at Noon
For agreements required by a sponsor to be fully executed by the end of this calendar year, please contact OSP as soon as possible with all available details no later than the deadline noted. This ensures that OSP can review the agreement and work with the sponsor if additional time is needed.


Proposal Submittals with Organizational COI

Monday, December 16 at Noon
Proposals due during the closure period and through January 9.


Proposal Submittals without Organizational COI

Wednesday, December 18 at Noon
Proposals due during the closure period and through January 5.


ConnectCarolina Transactions

Monday, December 16 at 5:00 p.m.
Journals and vouchers that require OSP Pre-Audit approval.
