Did You Know?

Q: How can you request UNC certified Final Invention Statements (FIS) or otherwise known as Patent Disclosures?

A: Email OSPReporting@unc.edu with the PS Project ID for which you need the signed FIS. For certain sponsors, the FIS may also need to be submitted by an institutional signing official (i.e., eRA Commons). FIS are routinely requested on Monday and Wednesday but if there is an urgent need, a same day request can also be submitted. 
 

Q: Is the Final Invention Statement (FIS) the same thing as an iEdison disclosure?

A: No, patent disclosures in iEdison are completed by the Office of Technology and Commercialization throughout the life of an award as disclosures are filed. FIS are completed during the closeout of an award or a closing segment of a subcontract.

New Background Check Support Service Request Available
The UNC Help Portal now has an enhanced background check process. This provides an easy and consistent way for campus background check initiators to submit service requests to the Background Check Unit, as well as manage all of their service requests in one portal. To access the feature, enter the keywords "Background Check" in the Help Portal's Search field. 

Tango Card Training and Office HoursDecorative Image
