Independent Contractor Amendment Workflow Change
Effective immediately, to streamline the process of amending approved Independent Contractor agreements, Finance is now utilizing ConnectCarolina instead of emailing documents to accounts payable staff, as was done previously. Continue
Airfare Policy Updates
Effective February 1, 2023, the changes outlined in the memo will be implemented regarding purchasing airfare for University travel.
Hotel Updates in Concur Travel
Effective January 9, 2023, several updates have been made in Concur Travel to the booking process for hotels to improve the user experience. Please see the memo for more information.
Travel Mileage Increase 2023
Effective January 1, 2023, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has established new mileage rates for 2023. When a personal vehicle must be used, the allowable business standard mileage rate has increased to 65.5 cents per mile. See 1501.4 – Procedure on Ground Transportation Expenses Including Mileage Rates for more information.
Changes to Expense Assistant in Concur
Effective January 3, 2023, the University will discontinue the use of Expense Assistant by Trip. Employees who utilize their T&E Card for non-travel expenses (such as business meals) may continue to use Expense Assistant by Month.
