New Account Added to Budget & Prior Approval Forms
A new budget (and expense) account code 558450 – F&A Exempt Educational Award Non-Enroll, Non-Student Payments has been added to the Office of Sponsored Program’s budget revision and prior approval request forms. For both forms, please begin using the version dated 11/23/2023. Continue
Changes in Travel Per Diem Rates in 2023
Per a memo from UNC Finance & Operations, effective March 1, 2023, travel allowances will adopt federal per diem rates. North Carolina in- and out-of-state rates will be discontinued. Continue
Minimum Graduate Student Stipend Increase
Effective January 1, 2023, the University will increase the minimum stipend for graduate students. See this Graduate school funding page to learn more. Continue

NC DHHS Fringe Rates Updated for FY 2023
 NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has provided an updated chart for Fiscal Year 2023 fringe rates. The updated chart is also available on the Office of Sponsored Program’s Information Sheet. Continue
New RAMSeS F&A Sharing Portal
Effective as of November 15, F&A Sharing agreements will be formally documented in the new RAMSeS F&A Sharing Agreements Portal, including routing and approvals by PS Project ID Managers in the Admin Award department and departments designated to share F&A on the RAMSeS project. Only PS Project ID Managers have access to the F&A Sharing Agreements Portal. Continue
New RAM Reports Update & PI Dashboard Decommission
 Personnel Monthly tab has a view update to better represent current month actuals and projections. RAM Reports guidance document reflects this update as well as additional guidance on using My Resources. As a reminder, PI Dashboard is decommissioning in January so make the transition to RAM Reports and share your feedback below. Continue

2022 Research in Review
 UNC topped $1.2B in research awards, continuing our year-to-year growth in sponsored research activity and showing gains across most disciplines. Additionally, more than 30 researchers from Carolina made Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers list as trailblazers among their peers. Those recognized had papers that ranked in the top 1% of citations for field and publication year. Continue

A: Campus users with a valid Onyen will be able to login to RAM Reports and view all project/award data available to them based on their roles in RAMSeS.
Q: How can I provide feedback or request more functionality in RAM Reports?
A: Click on the “Give Feedback” tab on the RAM Reports webpage and submit your feedback or enhancement request.
