As a reminder, in order to complete your application by the deadline, the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) requires a completed UNC Loan Repayment Program (LRP) Certification Form to be submitted to our office by November 12 to certify your application. Update to RAM Reports

The Monthly Reports Tab is now available in RAM Reports. This enhancement provides the ability to view and download monthly snapshot reports for the overall award as well as individual projects. Continue

Experimental pill to treat COVID-19

Strong clinical trial results showed the experimental COVID-19 pill developed by UNC reduced hospitalizations and deaths by half in people recently infected with coronavirus. Continue

COVID-19 Airfare Refunds

UNC Travel Services has been working to recoup and consolidate unused ticket credits from University travel canceled due to COVID-19. Continue


Coming Soon: Funding Swaps on Positions

Starting Monday, October 11, all jobs on campus will have a position. If you do funding swaps in the system, you’ll need to remember that all funding swaps will need to refer to a position number. Continue 


Required Chartfield Strings in Concur 

As a reminder, the only CFS elements which are required when a traveler submits their expense report are the Business Unit and Department ID.  A complete CFS including fund and source fields are required for the expense report to be approved. Continue


New NIH Requirements for Logins

Since September 15, 2021, when UNC faculty and staff log in to NIH systems, they will be required to do the Duo 2-step verification after they’ve entered their Onyen and password. Continue


ITAR Added Two Countries to List

On May 23, 2021, the Secretary of State announced restrictions related to security assistance for Ethiopia and a continuation of restrictions for Eritrea due to the crisis in northern Ethiopia. Continue
 

Clarifying NIH’s Approach to Granting ESI Extensions

NIH has added additional FAQs concerning Early Stage Investigator (ESI) extension requests. Continue


New award type option in GradStar

Emergency awards are processed as “refund only” and will not pay against any outstanding charges on the student’s account.  Account code 569190 is assigned to this award type and will be used automatically in GradStar.
